What has been your career path been to get to your existing role been?

My career path to becoming the Group Product Director at Cloudcase has not been a linear journey, I haven’t followed the typical Product Manager path. I naturally fell into the product role following a desire to put customers first, and my abilities to act as a bridge between the business and tech worlds. Throughout my career, I’ve been ambitious and always leapt at opportunity, by operating with the philosophy of ‘Start doing the work you want to be doing in your role, and the title and ownership will follow’.

Starting at an Events technology company early in my career, I had the chance to lead engineering teams, train international sales teams, and contribute to the product roadmap. These experiences shaped my understanding of SaaS and customer-centric solutions.

Joining Cloudcase as a Senior Software Engineer, I was at the forefront of delivering our originations platform to major banking clients. Our team was the first to market for an open banking system connected Originations Platform in Australia, reflecting Cloudcase's commitment to innovation and staying ahead of industry trends.

Cloudcase’s development opportunities led to my involvement across the organisation's sales demonstrations and solutions engineering and ultimately my promotion to Product Director. Here, I leverage my skills in product management, engineering, and strategy to deliver new product functionality for our customers.

What developmental opportunities have you received working at Cloudcase?

At Cloudcase, my development wasn't confined to a typical career path. As a Software Engineer, I was embedded directly inside the banks’ project teams implementing the Cloudcase Platform. What surprised me most at Cloudcase is that engineering roles aren’t just about writing code; it required me to engage directly with clients, collaborate across departments, and understand the banking industry at a whole new level. This exposure directly within the business is a massive development opportunity and enables Engineers who have the appetite to engage directly in high level strategy discussions within the Banking organisations.

When I stepped into the Product Director role, the real-world experience continued. I found myself immersed not just in product management but shaping the strategy of our software offerings. It was about learning on the go, adapting, innovating, and making decisions that impacted across the product. Working at Cloudcase provided me with real, hands-on experience at a fast-paced company, better than any text-book or course could provide!

What have you enjoyed the most about Cloudcase and the culture?

What's stood out to me at Cloudcase is how everyone on the team is involved and valued. It's a collaborative environment where your opinions matter and your work is recognised. It's not about titles or hierarchy; everyone has a say, and everyone's contribution is appreciated.

Equally, the work itself is both challenging and engaging. We're creating products that have a real impact on the banking industry. Both as an engineer and working in product, I've had direct engagement and feedback from customers, and seeing how our tools affect large businesses for the better is incredibly satisfying. But what makes it unique is the access to mentors and the constant guidance from senior members of the team.

What has Cloudcase brought you that’s unique to your career journey?

At Cloudcase, I've had an accelerated journey into becoming an expert in lending originations in both the Australian & US market. This rapid immersion surprised me! While I started with a technical background, in just five years I've reached a point where I can confidently guide experienced lenders towards implementing best practices in lending. The depth of knowledge and hands-on experience I've gained here is unparalleled. Some days, with the insights and expertise I've gathered, I genuinely feel I could step into the shoes of a lender.

Cloudcase has been instrumental in a rapid career progression. The combination of the industry's potential and our platform’s technical success provided a unique environment for growth. Opportunities kept presenting themselves, and the platform and mentorship available at Cloudcase ensured that I could capitalise on them. To me this isn’t just another job; it’s been a fast-paced adventure that’s been unique in shaping my career trajectory.

Configuration Engineer

Overview

Our Software Analysts are entry-level roles with the implementation or configuration function. You’ll be exposed to client-facing work and solve problems using the Cloudcase Platform technologies, you will receive the support, mentoring and guidance from your peers and seniors as you work towards cementing your capability and competency working within the Cloudcase Platform.

Your responsibilities

Use and configure the Cloudcase Platform in the design, build and delivery of banking products and processes.
Work in an agile delivery environment within a project delivery team to respond to various customer requests and tasks.
Communicate project updates directly with Cloudcase customers to provide project support.

To be successful you will need

To be undergoing a relevant bachelor’s degree or entry-level Software Developer experience
An understanding of project work
Capability operating in cross-functional teams.

As a Senior Software Consultant at Cloudcase you will be tasked with addressing more complex business problems across the project life cycle. In addition to the responsibilities of a Software Consultant, you will be a mentor and coach to more junior team members. You will work to support our Implementation Directors and ensure that we are efficient and effective in our project delivery.

At this level you will begin working toward solution architecture competencies.

Your responsibilities

Work in an agile delivery environment within a project delivery team to respond to various customer tickets.

Oversee code development, completing ongoing review of code to ensure high quality output that meets customer needs and expectations.
Provide support and mentoring to Software Analysts and Software Consultants.
Facilitate production and non-production releases.
Identify limitations and deficiencies in existing systems and applications.
Create, update, and maintain technical end user documentation and operational procedures.

To be successful you will need

A relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum five years’ experience as a Software Engineer and/or Consultant.
Experience in programming languages and fundamentals.
Experience in building and integrating high performance APIs.
Knowledge and experience in version control tools.
Experience with Project Management tools.
